Black forest cake was the inspiration for this tart, which has a chocolate crust, a cherry-swirled topping, and a subtly tangy cream cheese filling.

Preparation

    Meanwhile, in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, bring the cherry purée to a simmer. Whisk in the cherry preserves and continue to simmer until the mixture thickens slightly, 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the kirsch and continue to cook for 30 seconds more. Remove from the heat and let cool.

    我发现这道菜很有趣,非常美味! I made a few adjustments based on the 1st review, and it turned out wonderfully & everyone loved it. Instead of kirsch, I used DeKuyper Chocolate Cherry liqueur. I didn't want to spend $45 for a couple tablespoons. This liqueur was half the price. I used about a tablespoon more than the recipe calls for of the liqueur in the cherry mixture & used it instead of the vanilla. I even poured a little in the pie crust & the Black Forest flavor shined through. The hearts aren't difficult to swirl at all! They require care.. You can't just slop the cherry stuff on the cheesecake batter! You'll make a mess! Take your time, level the spoon & make sure nothing is dripping & slowly dot. I loved this recipe. Thanks for sharing it. I'll be making it again!

    I made this recipe a couple months ago. I remember thinking it looked pretty. The taste was "good." I think it needed another strong flavor in it, it was kind of bland. The prety hearts aren't as easy to put on the cheesecake as the recipe would make you believe. Mine turned out messy looking but still beautiful and unique for my first try. Neat idea but is lacking flavor.
